The idea of establishing of the Museum of Olympic Glory appeared practically after the foundation of the NOC Belarus as Belarusian sport boasts of its rich traditions and each edition of the Olympic Games reveals new heroes, outstanding athletes and coaches.In March 1998 President of the Republic of Belarus, President of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus issued a decree in which among other tasks that regarding the creation of a museum in order to keep the history of Belarusian sport and the Olympic Movement.
